Occupational Health and Safety
Occupational health and safety is critical to our value chain. Our Health and Safety Policy, Supplier Code of Conduct and relevant management systems outline our efforts to protect employees and suppliers against occupational risks and accidents. We also implement wellness targets of lost-time injury rates (LTIR).
Promoting occupational health and safety through systematic approaches and consistent implementation strategies are vital in protecting our employees. Our construction arms establish management structures and obtain certifications based on international occupational health and safety standards, including OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct sets out relevant requirements and recommendations related to environmental performance and human rights for our contractors and suppliers. All potential suppliers are required to undergo a screening process and complete a self-assessment. This ensures we implement ESG considerations into supply chain management. We regularly assess and evaluate our contractors based on the prescribed requirements. Furthermore, we incorporate safety awareness into the daily work of contractors and suppliers through various training, campaigns and communications initiatives.
